So who am I? The Statehouse Bureau Chief for a media outlet called the Illinois Radio Network. We provide political and governmental news content to more than 50 radio stations in Illinois and the St. Louis, Missouri area. I'm based at the Illinois Capitol in Springfield. What I Usually Cover: Blagojevich Visits Floods
Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) visited Quincy in June to meet with local, state, and National Guard officials about the rising floodwaters. Blagojevich is not expected to play a major--even minor for that matter--role in the DNC.
The Beginning: Obama Announces in Springfield
U.S. Senator Barack Obama (D-Illinois) announces at the Old State Capitol that he wants to be president. The announcement confirms what many already knew: he wanted to move up and take avantage of the "rock star" status that he had gained.
