A Spat Within the Illinois Delegation

Well, word had it that Hillary Clinton was going to release her delegates so that they could vote for Barack Obama. That would take some pressure off those who were loyal supporters, but who also knew that those votes wouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

But then there was this: Illinois Hillary Clinton Delegate Delmarie Cobb says Illinois Senate President Emil Jones (D-Chicago) called her an "Uncle Tom" for not abandoning Clinton. This reportedly happened over the weekend. Jones says he called her a "Doubting Thomas" for having doubts about Obama's abilities. What a mess! On one hand, this is not what Democrats need. On the other hand, Democrats are the ones who have in-fighting, so it's not that unusual. We'll see what happens here with the voting.

We'll also see if anyone boos Jones when he takes the stage tonight here in Denver.
